"I first met Jimbo Whaley when he was with Pine Mountain
Railroad Band. My first impression of Jimbo was " man what a
showman" he has a magnetism that I think is similar to Jimmy
Martin, "The King of Bluegrass". Jimbo a great lead singer
and writer knows how to connect with an audience, he holds them in
his palm, working with the band and the audience to
"entertain". There are many great singers on the Bluegrass
circuit today, but I don't think there are many super entertainers,
those that know what to do to make the audience and the band feed
off each other. Jimbo has that rare talent, and it comes across at
each of his performances. And what a talented writer also, many of
the songs performed by Jimbo are his, or he was co-writer. Bluegrass
